Hartley Bridge on the Shannon
The distinctive shape of Hartley Bridge which was opened in 1915. It carries a minor road over the River Shannon between Carrick-on-Shannon and Cootehall. Hartley Bridge is an early example of the use of reinforced concrete in Ireland.
