Birdwatcher John Weaving on his boat

Birdwatcher John Weaving on his boat
Image of birdwatcher John Weaving on his boat with his 2 dogs Brocky and Twiggy which featured in an article on the River Shannon in the National Geographic Magazine in November 1978. John Weaving was a former banker who lived out his retirment on the Shannon and was quite well-known in the area. A painting of the photograph was later used in Scorcese's film 'Goodfellas'. Sadly John Weaving passed away in 1987 before the film was released.
